Wentworth Music & Interior Savings Present The Colour Concert

The Wentworth Concert series is a community staple that brings a love of music and community all under one roof. Performed by the talented students from Wentworth Music, The Colour Concert will highlight 20 iconic songs that feature colours. All proceeds from this concert help support the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, specifically benefitting children and their families.

KTRA Hoe Down Presented by Interior Savings

The 2nd annual Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association (KTRA) Hoe Down will be two-stepping its way to raising $20,000 on March 7th at Colombo Hall in Kamloops. This family friendly event has all the ingredients for a fun night out: food, live music, silent auction, dancing (including lessons), and it’s all in support of a great cause! If you’re not familiar with their work, KTRA offers therapeutic riding lessons for youth and adults with diversabilities, and youth at risk. With help from volunteers and of course, their beloved horses, KTRA helps to build confidence, strength and perhaps most importantly, a sense of belonging for the youth and adults who participate in their programs.

Okanagan Embrace Aging Month

​This March marks the 7th Annual Okanagan Embrace Aging Month; a partnership between Interior Savings, UBC’s Institute for Healthy Living and Chronic Disease Prevention and Interior Health.  We’re offering our largest line-up to date of seminars, workshops, and other events covering a wide range of topics focused on inspiring ways to age well.  How well we age depends a lot on what we do today, and arming ourselves with knowledge, practical tips and skills is the first step on the path to aging well. Dr. Art Hister Presents: A Guide to Living A Long and Healthy Life 

We’re excited to announce that speaker, author and well-known “media doctor”, Dr. Art Hister will be joining us for a special presentation on March 11.  In Dr. Art Hister’s trademark humorous style, this authoritative keynote tells you how to eat, drink, exercise, sleep, and enjoy your way to good health and a long life. Common sense rules, as Dr. Hister presents a plethora of practical, down-to-earth information for anyone who cares about his or her health. Dr. Hister is currently a daily health analyst on The Morning News on Global TV in BC, a weekly contributor to Global TV’s Thursday Noon News and Saturday Weekend News, as well as the host and writer of A Medical Minute with Dr. Art Hister, heard daily on CKNW Newstalk Radio.

Scam Protection | Knowledge is Power

This session will be presented by our very own, Paula Naka, who leads our Risk Management team and who works closely with RCMP and colleagues across the country to help reduce fraud. Passionate about empowering people to be more fraud-aware, Paula will share examples of common scams, golden rules on things to watch for, and what to do if you think you’re being scammed.
