PRE-AUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS

Setting up automatic deposits or withdrawals is easy! Identifying the proper account identification numbers is important so that these transactions are processed accurately and timely.

Pre-Authorized Deposits 

There are three identification numbers within the encoding on a cheque that are required to set up a pre-authorized transaction:

  • Transit/Branch
  • Institution
  • Account


Pre-Authorized Withdrawals

Setting up a pre-authorized withdrawal or making a change is also easy. The options include:

  • Contact the receiving company directly
  • Most companies have on their websites the ability to set-up pre-authorized withdrawals online or a form may also be available OR
  • Contact our Member Service Centre at 1-855-220-2580 for assistance.

Finding Your Account Information in Online Banking

 There’s no need to visit a branch or find a spare cheque when you can get your account information when logged on to online banking. Here’s how:


  1. Login to Online Banking.
  2. Select the Chequing or Savings account that you want to withdraw from or deposit to.
  3. Click on the ‘Direct Deposit and Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Form’ link, which will appear above your account transactions.
  4. A PDF file will then download a ‘void cheque’ with your account information. To see an example PDF please click here.
  5. You can then give an electronic or printed copy of the ‘void cheque’ to the company that will be crediting or debiting your account.  You can also use this information to complete a receiving company’s form with the information available on the ‘void cheque’.
