TRANSFERS

Easily send money to and from your Interior Savings accounts. You can also transfer funds to an account at another financial institution with Me-to-Me Transfers.

Transferring Between Your Accounts

Transferring funds online is quick and easy.

  1. Log in to Online Banking.
  2. Select the Transfers link from the left hand navigation 
  3. Enter the Transfer Amount
  4. Select the account you would like to Transfer From
  5. Select your account from the Transfer To drop down
  6. Select when you would like to transfer to occur, either immediately or a scheduled date.
  7. Click on Continue
  8. Review the transfer details and if accurate click on Confirm
  9. View transaction receipt.  If an error has been made, please contact your branch.

Me-to-Me Transfers

​Me to Me Transfers allow you to transfer funds between your Interior Savings accounts and your accounts at another Canadian credit union or bank.

How to Link Your Accounts

  1. Download the Me-to-Me Transfer Authorization form by clicking here
  2. Follow the instructions on the form to provide account information, a personalized cheque from your other bank or credit union and your authorization.
  3. Mail, fax, or drop off your signed authorization form and voided personalized cheque.

Please note that once we have received your signed authorization form and voided personalized cheque we will verify and activate your accounts. This can take up to 5 business days.

What You Should Know

  • If your Interior Savings account is Joint or if you have questions, please contact our Member Service Centre at 1-855-220-2580.
  • Business accounts are not eligible for Me To Me Money Transfers at this time.
  • Accounts at other financial institutions that require two signatures to withdraw or operate the account cannot be linked.
  • To remove a linked account log in to Online Banking and go to Transfers in the left hand navigation. Go to Link External Accounts and select the Delete Link on the account you would like removed. Please note this may take up to 3 business days to complete.

How to Activate Your Linked Accounts

  1. Within 5 business days of receiving the signed authorization form and void cheque Interior Savings will set up the external account
  2. An Interior Savings representative will contact you to verify the account is ready for use
  3. You can then begin to transfer money to and from your other financial institution from within Interior Savings Online Banking service.

How to Transfer with Me-to-Me

Transferring Funds to Your Interior Savings Account

  1. Log in to Online Banking and go to Transfers in the left hand navigation
  2. Enter the amount of money you would like to transfer from your account at another financial institution
  3. Select your account at the other financial institution from the Transfer From list
  4. Select your Interior Savings account in the Transfer To list
  5. Click Continue to complete your transfer

Transferring Funds From Your Interior Savings Account

  1. Log in to Online Banking and go to Transfers in the left hand navigation
  2. Enter the amount of money you would like to transfer to your account at the other financial institution
  3. Select your Interior Savings account in the Transfer From list
  4. Select your account at the other financial institution from the Transfer To list
  5. Click Continue to complete your transfer

What You Should Know

  • You must ensure that your account at the other financial institution has enough funds in it. If you do not have enough funds in your other account the transfer will be cancelled and you may be charged a service fee.
  • Your money may not come out of your account at the other financial institution for up to 3 business days.
  • Transferring money to your Interior Savings account is free.
  • A non-refundable service charge of $1.50 will be charged to transfer money from your Interior Savings account to your account at another financial institution.
  • The money will be debited from your account at Interior Savings immediately, however, it could take 3-5 business days to show up in your account at the other financial institution.
  • Your money will be deposited into your Interior Savings account immediately. However, your money may be "held" for five business days to ensure your other financial institution authorizes the transfer. For security reasons this hold will not be removed until after five days.
