​With Deposit Anywhere™, you can quickly and securely deposit cheques with your smartphone or tablet, from anywhere, day or night.


How Does it Work?

  1. Open the Mobile App on your smartphone.
  2. Select the "Deposit" icon on the homescreen.
  3. Select the account to deposit to and enter the amount of the cheque.
  4. Snap a photo of the front and back of your cheque and select "Continue".
  5. Confirm the details and tap “submit”. That’s it!


Deposit Anywhere™ FAQs

Yes. As a feature of our mobile banking app, Deposit Anywhere™ meets the same high standards as our mobile and online banking services.

Similar to deposits at an ATM or in the branch, there are often holds on the item and funds may require time to clear.

No. You can only deposit cheques payable in Canadian dollars and drawn on a Canadian financial institution.

Sometimes mistakes happen. But not to worry, we will double check all the information to ensure the right amount is deposited quickly and securely into your account. If you do have any questions about the cheques you submit, you can call us anytime at 1-855-220-2580 and we'll be happy to assist you.

Cheques payable in joint names must be deposited to a joint account in the same names. Cheques payable to a business must be deposited to a business account in the same name.

It is recommended that all payees provide their endorsement on the back of the cheque before depositing. Cheques payable in joint names linked by the word “and” must be endorsed by both payees. For example, cheque payable to “Joe Smith and Jane Smith” must be endorsed by both payees and deposited to a joint account in the same names.

The cheques should be destroyed after 120 days.
