The Board of Interior Savings Insurance Services and Coastal Community Insurance Services (2007) Ltd. is pleased to announce the appointment of Kirsty Scriver as CEO of both insurance divisions effective May 9, 2022.
In a unique collaboration between Interior Savings and Coastal Community, in 2019, both insurance services divisions were brought together under one holding company, jointly owned by the two credit unions, making it the largest credit union-owned insurance operation in BC.
With over 30 years’ experience in the General Insurance industry, Kirsty has held leadership roles with Interior Savings Insurance Services for close to 20 years. Since 2020 she has held senior leadership roles with the new combined entity, serving as both Vice-President of Operations and Acting General Manager.
According to Elmer Epp, Chair of the joint board, “After a thorough executive search, we are thrilled to appoint Kirsty as the new CEO for both insurance divisions.”
“With advancements in technology, government regulations and the escalating impact of climate-related disasters, the insurance industry is undergoing a great amount of change,” added Epp. “In Kirsty we have found a leader with the skills and experience to build strong teams and to navigate this increasingly complex environment while ensuring we continue to deliver both personal and digital services that put our customers’ wellbeing and experience at the heart of everything we do.”
“I’m honored by the confidence the board has placed in me,” said Scriver, “I look forward to continuing to lead these two exceptional teams as we work to protect customers from life’s uncertainties through industry-leading insurance solutions and superior personalized service.”
Kirsty holds Canadian Risk Management and Chartered Insurance Professional designations, has obtained Change Management and Lean Greenbelt certifications and is a graduate from Queens’ executive program in strategic planning, change management and operational leadership.
A passionate advocate for working together to build stronger communities, Kirsty has served on the board of the Credit Union Insurance Services Association since 2014, currently as Vice-President.
