​How do I link my external accounts?

Log into Online Banking and following these steps to link your external accounts:

  1. Locate External Accounts on the My Accounts page
  2. Select "+ Link an external account"
  3. Read and accept the terms and conditions
  4. You will be able to search for another financial institutions, credit cards, rewards, etc by typing in the name or entering the URL

How is this different from Mint.com?

Mint.com is a third party software provider that allows customers to aggregate their banking information. It does not allow users in Canada to perform any online banking activities, such as pay bills or transfer money. 

Our online banking platform offers easy-to-use tools to help you see your full financial picture, all within a banking website you know and trust.

I don't see my balance. Why?

If you're not seeing your balance, you may have selected the View Account Activity option located within the left-hand navigation. This view will only show your debits and credits - not your balance. 

Your balance can be accessed from two different methods from the opening screen of Online Banking: 

1. Locate Accounts Summary (it's the third heading, after Messages and Spending Analysis)   

  • Option #1: Select the Account you'd like to view by selecting the account name
  • Option #2: Find the Account you'd like to view and then select the drop-down menu under Action. Select View account activity

2. A new screen will open and you'll be able to view your debits, credits and balance.

How do I link my ​MasterCard®?

Log into Online Banking and following these steps to link your MasterCard®: 

  1. Locate Partner Accounts on the My Accounts page
  2. Select "+ Link a partner account" 
  3. Select MasterCard® under Link a Credit Card
  4. Select Link an Account here

How do I link my Credential investment account?

Log into Online Banking and following these steps to link your Credential investment account: 

  1. ocate Partner Accounts on the My Accounts page
  2. Select "+ Link a partner account" 
  3. Select your investment account from the options listed under Link an Investment Account
  4. Follow the instructions on the next page to complete the process

I have multiple accounts. What should I know?

You can set up a group name to see your spending at a glance. Combine all your primary accounts, so you can view what you want to see.

  1. Select "Manage Groups", located in the left-hand navigation
  2. Select "Create a new group"
  3. Choose a name for your group
  4. Select the accounts you want in your group
  5. Select "Create a group"

I'm joint on a credit card with my spouse. What should I know?

If you and your spouse both have credit cards on a single account, and you link that account, each of you will see the other's credit card activity.

I use Small Business Online Banking. What should I know?

We recommend Small Business Online Banking users create an account Group to help distinguish account activity between business and personal accounts. For example, a group named ‘My Business’ would contain only business related accounts, and a group named ‘My Personal’ would contain only personal accounts.

To set up a Group:

  1. Select the "Manage Groups" link located in the left-hand navigation
  2. Select "Create a new group"
  3. Choose a name for your group
  4. Select the accounts you want in your group
  5. Select "Create a group"
