Paying Bills

Paying bills through online banking or the Interior Savings mobile app on your smartphone is convenient and secure – and you can do it from the comfort of… well, anywhere!

When you pay your bills online or with your smartphone you can:

  1. Access them anytime and anywhere
  2. Avoid late fees
  3. Prevent lost payments in the mail
  4. View your complete bill payment history
  5. Pre-schedule your bill payments to be paid automatically so you never miss a payment, even if you’re on vacation
  6. Easily set up payments, add payee’s and pay multiple bills with just a few clicks

How to Pay a Bill

  1. Log in to Online Banking
  2. Click the Payments tab (Pay Bills button on smartphone)
  3. Select the account you wish to Pay From (example Chequing account)
  4. Select the vendor account you wish to Pay To (example BC Hydro)
  5. Select the Payment Date
  6. Enter the Amount you wish to pay
  7. Click the Pay Bills button to continue to the next screen
  8. Confirm your bill payment information and click Confirm.  If the information is incorrect, you may select Edit or Cancel to update the information on the previous screen.

Tips: Avoid Late Fees

  1. To ensure your payment is received on time, make your payment at least 2 to 3 business days before the due date indicated on the bill.
  2. Have your bills sent to you electronically by email or through epost™.
  3. Set-up scheduled recurring bill payments from your everyday bank account for your utilities and other bills.
  4. Set-up scheduled and or recurring transfers to pay your credit card's minimum or total balance each month so that you can be sure to never miss a payment.
